Facebook & Instagram Marketing is Getting Harder

The era of companies soaring almost overnight from start-ups to millions in sales on Facebook and Instagram is coming to an end. Many top marketing analysts agree that multiple factors are forcing businesses to scramble for alternative channels to replace eroding (or blocked) Facebook and Instagram campaigns. We visited with ADcology CEO, Dr. Greg Cynaumon for his thoughts on this subject.

“The reasons are many and complex. However, aside from ever-changing advertising rules, user drop-off, bots, over-saturation of ads, and general consumer ad burnout, the biggest reason for stalled campaigns is the willingness of big brands to overspend (and outspend) and draft off the ad spend of smaller companies. Honestly, we’re seeing a sizable migration of advertisers back to podcast, radio and satellite. Some of this is due to favorable rates, but these platforms offer our clients tremendous organic endorsement opportunities. Remember, the listener (or viewer on digital video) has a favorable relationship with the on-air personality or host. These influencer campaigns are challenging to navigate, but they are a goldmine once we get them set up.” Honestly, my best advice for floundering social campaigns, is audio and digital video influencers
